Scott joined Madison-Simmons in 2022 with a proven track record of over two decades in the construction industry. He is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and the success and growth of the organization. He enjoys quality time on the lake with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
Alex Farr
Land Acquisition Manager
Alex has a focus on deal sourcing, investment analysis, and rezonings. He was formerly with Tri Pointe Homes. In his career, he has completed over $70M in land acquisitions to create nearly 2,000 new homes. Alex is a recipient of the Elevate Lifestyle's 30 under 30 Award. He has a BS in Finance from UNC-Charlotte. In his free time, he enjoys traveling the world with his wife, Lena.
Justin Dupree
Purchasing Manager
Justin oversees the trade/vendor relationships as well as the bidding and budgeting for all new home projects. He graduated from ECU in 2007. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters and is a huge sports fan. Justin's favorite teams are the Chicago Cubs, Miami Dolphins, and Charlotte Hornets.
Katherine Shott
Starts and Closings Manager
Katherine is responsible for new home starts (permits, approvals, preparation, etc.) and managing all home closings. She graduated in 2010 with a BS in Business Administration from Bluefield College. Katherine cheers for WVU and enjoys DIY projects at home as well as cooking and yoga.
Greg Duncan
Land Project Manager
Greg is in charge of land development operations as well as field team advisor. By overseeing our potential and purchased land acquisitions, Greg ensures all projects get started off on the right foot. He started working in construction at the age of 14, working for his family business. He has been married 35 years and has three grown children. Greg's hobbies include golf, wakeboarding, and dancing.
Josh Garrey
Director of Construction
Josh joined the building team in 2024. He has a Business Management degree from University of New Haven. He served 7 years in the Coast Guard in the Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, and Guam. Since 2020, Josh has worked as a Construction Manager in Charlotte. His favorite team is UCF Knights football. He enjoys riding motocross and hiking with his dogs.
Brian Allard
Construction Manager
Brian joined the team in Asheville in 2023, having recently moved to NC from FL. He has been in the construction industry since he was 17. His hobbies include teaching and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In addition to coaching soccer, he also enjoys hiking and supporting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!
Paul Duncan
Construction Manager
Paul schedules and oversees the construction process to ensure homes are built to code and in a timely manner. Paul has been a General Contractor since he was 18. He enjoys motor sports, modifying/buying/selling cars, and building things. His favorite teams are the Packers and the Panthers.
Jake Bacon
Construction Manager
Jake is an assistant project manager at Madison-Simmons. Originally from Florida, Jake has been living in North Carolina since he was 12. Construction has always been a passion of his. He enjoys working on home projects, cooking, grilling, and spending time with his wife and new baby. In addition to rooting for the NY Giants and Florida Gators, Jake enjoys hiking, fishing, and kayaking.
Seth Miller
Construction Assistant
OSHA certified, Seth is responsible for managing the warranty items for all new homes as well as assisting with building projects. He graduated in 2022 from WCU. Seth enjoys fly fishing and rock climbing.
Ramel Williams
Construction Assistant
An assistant builder for Asheville, Ramel joined the company in 2024. He graduated from Kennesaw State University in Construction Management in 2022 and began working in Atlanta as Land Development and Construction Manager. He enjoys exercising, watching soccer, community service, photography, and golf.
Mark Brissenden
Senior Accountant
Mark joined the company in 2023 with over 30 years of experience and is responsible for all accounting functions including accounts payable, ledger, banking, budgeting, taxes, and payroll. He is originally from upstate NY and has a wife and two sons. Mark was awarded the 2020 Volunteer of the Year by Governor Roy Cooper! He enjoys time with family, the mountains, and being outdoors.
Angela Palmer
Accounting
Angela is responsible for all accounting matters including financial reporting, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. She has been in the accounting field for 27 years and has worked with the company for 8 years. Her husband and two dogs reside in Davidson. Spending time with family and friends is Angela's favorite thing to do.
Lacey Antley
Design Coordinator
Lacey joined Madison-Simmons in 2023, after previously working with the Team for 10 years. After taking time to be with family, Lacey came on board to ensure that Madison-Simmons provides each Community and Customer with the newest design trends and palettes, to help make your new house a beautiful HOME! She has a passion for home design, decor and making each customers most valued investment, a beautiful and cohesive piece of art. Lacey attended UNCC, and enjoys traveling, spending time on the Lake with family and friends, and of course, shopping!
Kim Williams
Marketing Coordinator
Kim joined the company in 2022. She is responsible for marketing, signage, promotions, special events, and website. She has a Marketing and Design degree from Appalachian State University and is Color Marketing Group certified. Her favorite things to do are cooking, shopping, travelling with her family, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!
